Restaurant
Opened in December 2013 by experienced chefs Pavlos and Natasha, Salto Wine Bar-Bistro has quickly garnered a good reputation amongst both residents and visitors.
An intimate space, sophisticated and modern, where wandering in taste and wine enjoyment is being accompanied by sounds of world music.
A glimpse inside
Fishy dishes, particularly daily specials, are a strong suit; Meat-eaters will enjoy steak with mascarpone sauce, and sage-laced gnocchi; plates of the day are likely to appeal.
Salad starters include “terra rossa” (baked beetroots with baby greens, Gorgonzola cheese & white balsamic Vinaigrette); “spirtóza” (mixed greens and fennel under ginger-lemon vinaigrette); and “arugula” with pan seared goat cheese, cherry tomatoes and balsamic Vinaigrette.
Hot starters feature Anatolian sausage-y bits, Haloumi cheese in pistachio crust, marinated chicken filets dressed with honey coriander and beef burgers bites with yogurt coriander sauce.
Not up for a full-on meal in any case? Sample a long list of charcuterie and cheese slabs, almost all of Greek provenance.
Not just food quality! We believe that food plating and presentation are central to keeping guests happy as they experience what we have to offer…
We pay attention to what our customers have to say. And we are very happy when we get a positive review.
Open Kitchen
Premises are lower-ground floor, with an arch separating the main seating area from the open-plan kitchen. The decor is enlivened by a wall covered by the ends of wooden wine packing-cases.
